Obituary of Georgia Azukas

Mrs. Georgia Florence (Benner) Azukas, 50, of 6 Meriline Ave., Waterbury, died early Monday morning July 21, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of Mark A. Azukas. Mrs. Azukas was born in Waterbury Jan. 14, 1958, a daughter of the late Harry and Alphra Rose (Morton) Fritz and had been a resident of Waterbury all of her life. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of the Certified Nursing Assistant program at the Naugatuck Valley Community College. She was a private duty CNA until her illness. Besides her husband of 19 years, she leaves two sons, Carleton Eugene Perkins of Augusta, ME and Timothy John Perkins of Waterbury; 5 brothers, Richard Salerno of Pemiquid, ME, Carmen Salerno of Columbus, OH, Gerald Benner of Plantsville, CT., Henry Cabot Lodge Benner of Northport, ME, and Edward Benner of New Bedford, Mass.3 sisters, Kathy Benner of Vineyard Haven, Mass., Clarion Sullivan of Oak Bluff, Mass. and Nellie Benner of Damariscotta, ME.; and 4 grandchildren, Alyssa, Madison, Noah, and Michael Anthony. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. at West Main St. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
