Obituary of Helen Humiston

CHESHIRE; Helen P. Humiston , 90,of Cherry St. died on July 25, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of the late Julius R. Humiston. Helen was born on July 27, 1917 in the Mt. Carmel section of Hamden . She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Felicia (Laborice) Petrowski. She attended Humiston School and Wilby High School . She was an active member of the Cheshire Senior Club and especially enjoyed winning at Bingo and Pinochle. She is survived by her two sons, Bruce and his wife Nancy Humiston of Cheshire and Richard Humiston of Terryville, One sister Josephine Roberts of Southington, two grandsons Ronald and his fianc Adrienne Humiston of Wallingford and David and his wife Kristin Humiston and a great granddaughter Madeline of East Haddam, CT. She also leaves three sisters in laws and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by one sister Stephanie Box and five brothers Stanley, Adam, Edwin, Paul and Raymond Petrowski.Arrangements; Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to St.Bridgets Church 175 Main St. Cheshire on Tuesday July 29,2008 for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian burial. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the Slater Funeral Home 242 So.Main St. Cheshire. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
