We are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was good friends with our son. Patrick Sommers. Many times I remember them skateboarding and riding their bikes after school. He was always so polite. You are remembered in our prayers.

I have many fond memories of Michael from our childhood, most of them being from our years playing football together in Cheshire Jr. Football. He was an excellent athlete and, more importantly, a great person, who people looked up to. His charming manner and engaging smile were just a couple of his great qualities. Unfortunately, we didn't stay in touch much after school but I wish we had because throughout my years in Cheshire Michael left a lasting impression on me and I always felt he would do great things with his many talents. I found this to be true when I saw he had become a Marine and served our country. I knew he would succeed in the military because I don't believe he had many limitations when he set his mind to something. I will keep my memories of Michael as a reminder to always do my best, never give up, and to remember life is a fragile thing that can be taken from us at anytime, so we should always live everyday like its our last because we owe that to the people we love and ,most of all, to ourselves. My condolences to Michael's family. I hope they can find peace in their time of mourning. I'll always have a place for Michael in my heart and may he rest in peace always. Your Caring Friend, Jared
