Although I haven't seen John in many years, I have very fond memories of him as a teenager hanging out with Joyce and her friends on Clay Street - usually in Joyce's bedroom. He was always a quiet, peaceful presence with a gentle spirit. He had a lot of struggles in his life, but seemed to always hold on to his strong morals and generous nature. My condolences to his brothers and sisters.

Joyce and family, as a home care nurse I got to know John very well during his final years. I always found John to be sincerely moral, completely genuine, intelligent, generous, sensitive and caring - a real man. We shared many deep conversations together as we both seemed to enjoy that type of camaraderie. John was a very, very good and decent soul. I am better for having known John. Please accept my condolences. Sincerely, Ed Gryniuk (Bob’s friend from Waterbury, late 1970’s)
