I loved spending time with Aunt Rozzie because she relished life. When she told you stories about her experiences, or invited you to share stories about yours, she did so with a genuine sense of enthusiasm, wonder, and appreciation that was contagious. I will miss our lunches, phone calls, and correspondence in the mail. She would send me a lovely card, I would respond with a thank you note, and she in return would send me a letter acknowledging my note and filling me in on what adventures she or her kids or grandchildren have had since the last message. The last card she sent me was on August 4th for my birthday...I just didn't know it would be the last card. When I think of Rozzie I think of her warmth, nurturing nature, and big smile, which makes me smile.
