On behalf of the Trustees and Staff of the Connecticut Community Foundation, I wish to express our deep sympathy and regret at the death of Nelson. Nelson was commited to the Waterbury community, and, in his quiet way, he provided great leadership to the Foundation, as President and Trustee. As the new employee of the Foundation when Nelson was President, I was honored to work with Nelson to build the Foundation, and I looked to him for guidence and knowledge about Waterbury and it's residents. Over the years he continued his involvement with the Foundation, helping us with our scholarship program. We will miss him greatly as will the community. Sincerely, Ingrid Manning
