Obituary of Betty S. Lange

WATERBURY - Betty S. Lange, 89, passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington. She was the loving wife of the late Robert E. Lange Sr. Mrs. Lange was born November 8, 1927 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late William J. and Ethel (Fuller) Sullivan. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident where she was an active member of Mill Plain Union Church and a member of their Ladies Guild and the Choir. Throughout her life she participated in many activities and organizations such as local PTA groups, Girl Scouts and was an advisor and board member of two local assemblies of I.O.R.G. She was a member of the Waterbury Women's Club and the Mill Plain Bowling League. She also enjoyed many senior center activities and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs Lange is survived by her daughters Judy R. Lange and her companion Robert P. Seibel of Southington, Nancy L. Drouin and her husband Philip of Lewes, DE, Wendy L. Blanchette and her husband Mark of Bantam; her sons David A Lange of Enfield, and Robert E Lange and his wife Stela Marusin of Kensington; her brother William C. Sullivan and his wife Peggy of Litchfield; her sister Leila M. Oulundsen and her husband Jack of Southington; as well as 8 grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Lange is predeceased by her daughter Karen J. Lange. Arrangements - Funeral services for Mrs. Lange will be held on Saturday April 15, 2017 at. 10:30 am at Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Rd, Waterbury. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Mill Plain Union Church.
