Obituary of Foster Clarke

Foster Stewart Clarke Jr., 68, passed away March 9th 2008 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Judith L. Clarke. Foster was born March 20th 1940 in New Haven, CT and was the son of the late Ethel ( Hurlbert) and Foster Stewart Clarke Sr. Foster attended Alice Peck Elementary School, Hamden High School, and Adult Education at Huminston School, and the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden. He was employed as a special conservation officer by the D.E.P until his retirement in 2006. Foster was involved with Local Union 777 Plumb. and Pipf , the Wallingford Rod and Gun Club. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association. Besides his wife Foster is survived by his sons, Foster S. Clarke III and his wife Sharon of Clinton, CT, and Matthew F. Clarke. He is survived by his brother Douglas Clarke and his wife Pattie of Hamden, CT. He is also survived by his sisters Dolores Nieto of California, Linda Smith of New Britain, CT, Ellen Slipski and her husband Stanley of Southington, CT, Paula Carmody of Meriden, CT, Wendy Ventry of Meriden, CT and Loretta Clarke, of Ohio. Foster is also survived by his three grandchildren, Chris, Eddie, and Amy. Foster also leaves his loving dog Michele. He was pre-deceased by his sister Arlene Thompson.
