Obituary of Alfred Silverman

West Palm Beach, FL Alfred Alfie Silverman, 79, of Soundings Court and formerly of Waterbury passed away Thursday May 15, 2008. He was the husband of Ruth (Kohansky) Silverman.Mr. Silver man was born January 31, 1929 in New York City the son of the late Harry and Clara (Flamenbaum) Silverman. He was a long time resident of Waterbury before moving to Florida in 1978. He was a member of BNai Shalom Synagogue and was a member of the Knights of Pythias.Besides his wife of 58 years, Mr. Silverman is survived by his two sons Howard of Bridgewater, CT and David of Goldens Bridge, NY; a daughter Debra Rapoport of Cheshire; and four grandchildren Jordan, Samantha, Casey and Michael. Arrangements Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St. Cheshire. Burial will follow in Farband Cemetery in Morris. Shiva will be observed at the Rapoport home208 Beacon Hill Dr. in Cheshire on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
