Obituary of Eleanor Davis

Waterbury Eleanor (Reihl) Davis, 94, formerly of Grassy Hill Rd. passed away Saturday May 17, 2008 at Wolcott View Manor. She was the widow of Russell Davis. Mrs. Davis was born March 16, 1914 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Jacob and Eleanor (Rehbein) Reihl Sr. She was a gentle, loving woman who took time to listen and found a way to help anyone who needed it. She was an intelligent, generous and kind woman who almost never lost her temper. Mrs. Davis is survived by her two sons Lawrence and Russell both of Waterbury; her daughter Eleanor Mahoney and her husband Jack of Lincoln, MA; a brother Jacob Reihl; a sister Helen Guilfoile of Waterbury; two grandchildren Squire and Reihl Mahoney; three great grandchildren Jack, Alec and Sabrina Mahoney; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements - A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2008, 10 a.m. at Bucks Hill Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
