Obituary of Josephine Hodgkins

Cheshire, Josephine C. Hodgkins 89. of Mountain Rd. passed away Tuesday May 27,2008 at Highland Health Care . She was the widow of the late Donald Hodgkins.Josephine was born in Waterbury on July 7,1918. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Macejewska) Puchalski. She worked as a machine operator for the former Ball & Socket Co. in Cheshire for over 30 years until her retirement. Josephine was also a member of the Senior Center of Cheshire.She is survived by 2 sons Walter S. and his wife Mary .Magda of Cheshire and Edmond J.Magda of Hamden, one daughter Josephine C.and her husband Louis Richards of Wallingford, 1 Brother Edmund Puchalski of Cheshire and 3 Sisters Stella Piekaski and Theresa Kokoski both of Cheshire and Bella Kopcza of Southington. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her 1st husband Walter Magda Sr. A Brother Walter Puchalski and a daughter-in law Patrica Magda.Arrangements; Her funeral service will be held on Saturday May 31 at 10:00 am. at the Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main St. Cheshire. Burial will be in St. Bridget cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5 to 7 pm. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
