Obituary of Bertha Leonard

Bertha Leonard, 98, passed away Sunday June 8th, 2008 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury, CT. Bertha was born May 5th, 1910, in Flushing, NY and was the daughter of the late Anna Marie (Ritzel) and John Nevs. She was an Administrative Clerk for the Reuben Donnelley Company prior to her retirement in 1975. Bertha was a member of the Cheshire Lutheran Church. She moved to Cheshire in 1990 residing here for fifteen years prior to moving to Southbury, CT. Bertha is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Ethel Daly of Cheshire, CT, her grandchildren Robert and his wife Teri Daly of Cheshire, CT, and Debra and her husband Jeffrey Hajjar of Cheshire, CT. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren Timothy, Nicole, Alyssa, and Lauren. Arrangements- Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 11th, 2008 10 A.M at the Cheshire Lutheran Church 660 West Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery in Flushing, NY. There are no calling hours. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 South Main St, Cheshire, CT is in charge of the arrangements.
