Obituary of Rupert Covey

Bethany;Rupert A.Covey 78, of Lebanon Rd, died on June 6 2008 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Irene Shuster Covey. Mr. Covey was born in Manchester New Hampshire on July 24,1929. He was the son of Paul and Carlotta Covey. Rupert held a masters degree in chemistry and worked for the former Uniroyal Chemical Co. as a resherch chemist for 37 years until his retirement. Besides his wife he is survived by 1 son Bruce and his wife Kate Nickerson Covey of Decatur, GA. 2 daughters Susan and her husband William Wooldridge of Clackamas, OR. And Karen Covey of Middlebury, VT. And 1 sister Cynthia Plumpton. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Funeral services are private and at the convenece of the family. The Alderson Funeral of Naugatuck 201 Meadow St. is in charge of arrangements.
