Obituary of Olga Gainer

Wallingford Olga (Nechwiadovich) Gainer, 90, of Masonic Ave., and formerly of Hamden, Florida and Cheshire passed away June 15, 2008 at the Masonic Home of Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Ralph A. Gainer Jr. Mrs. Gainer was born April 27, 1918 in New Haven the daughter of the late Louis and Tatiana (Novinsky) Nechwiadovich. She was in the first graduating class of Hamden High School. Mrs.Gainer was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Cheshire and was known by many friends and family as the #1 volunteer in the world. Mrs. Gainer is survived by her son Ralph A. Gainer III of Cheshire; her daughter Diane G. Friend of Huntington; six grandchildren Mathew A. Gainer, Mark A. Gainer, Michele Dery, Warren H. Friend, Cynthia Morris and Michele Berardo; and 11 great grandchildren. Arrangements A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 59 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.
