Obituary of Rose Giannini

Cheshire Rose (Salvadori) Giannini, 96, formerly of N. Brooksvale Rd., passed away Sunday June 15, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Fairview, NC. She was the wife of the late Nello Giannini. Mrs. Giannini was born January 7, 1912 in Avon, CT the daughter of the late Sabatino and Maria (Burachi) Salvadori. She was a resident of Cheshire for 52 years before moving to North Carolina three years ago. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church. Mrs. Giannini is survived by her son Richard Giannini of Willington, CT; a daughter Nora Vetro of NC; a brother Raymond Salvadori of NJ; a sister Lillian Rosadini of Mt. Carmel, CT; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Annie Banelli and her grandson Stephen Giannini. Arrangements Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2008, 9:15 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St. to St Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Hamden. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
