Obituary of Robert Hudson
NAUGATUCK- Mr. Robert james Hudson, 61, of 33 Nettleton Ave., Naugatuck, died Thursday afternoon June 19, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Beverly J. (Chanko) Hudson. Mr. Hudson was born in Bridgeport, Nov. 6, 1946, a son of the late Edgar and Mildred (Nielson) Hudson and had been a Naugatuck resident since 1970, moving here from Huntington. He was a retired Cabinet Maker, having worked in the Woodworking industry until his medical retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He was a former member of the Huntington Volunteer Fire Dept. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Susan Moore; two brothers, Edgar Red Hudson of Oxford, and Richard Hudson of Naugatuck; two sisters, Rochelle Hudson of Milford and Pauline Stevens of Appling, Ga.; 2 grandchildren, Chrystal Moore and Destiny Perry; and 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia Moore and Naomi Moore and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Phillip Hudson and David Hudson Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial with full military honors will be in Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
