Obituary of Debra Capaldo

Debra Ann Capaldo, 52, of Columbia Boulevard, Waterbury, passed peacefully intoEternal rest at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT, Saturday June 28, 2008, surrounded byher loving family.The daughter of Harry and Eleanor Raymond of Waterbury, Debbie was born March 3, 1956 inHolden, MA. She moved to Waterbury with her family at a very young age. She attendedRoosevelt School, Bunker Hill Elementary School, and John F. Kennedy HS, in Waterbury, andMansfield State College in Pennsylvania. Debbie was a lifelong member of the Bunker HillCongregational Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon.An avid sewer, Debbie worked as a professional seamstress and dressmaker, however, once herchildren were born she chose to place her career on hold to be a stay at home mom to her threebeautiful daughters. She enjoyed sewing, decorating her home, working in her gardens, andenjoying life to the fullest. Debbie touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her gentleand caring personality, her warmth, her humor, and her beautiful smile. She fought a valiant battleagainst a relentless disease with courage, dignity, and strength. Debbie made so very many friendsthroughout her short journey through life, and those of us who knew her are richer for havingloved her, and for having been loved by her. We will miss her forever.Besides her parents, Debbie is survived by her husband Ron, her daughters Taylor-Lynn,Alexandra, and Samantha, her sisters, Linda Briggs of Virginia, Vickie Santore of Shelton, CTand Susan Minck of Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, and many very close and lovingfriends.A memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 9:00 AM at the Bunker Hill Congregational Church in Waterbury. Friends may call at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 9 Holmes Avenue Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
