I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dear family member. This tragedy, although too common today, takes on a new meaning when it is a close family member. At the beginning of June I lost my 11 year-old cousin Gabrielle. While reading Sam's obituary I noticed his great efforts to share the love he had for God with others. Maybe you will appreciate a scripture that comforted me. My hope of seeing Gabrielle was made so strong by the promise at John 5:28, 29: 'Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.' From what I read he did many good things. I understand no words or displays of affection will relieve the pain, but I hope that in time the sting of death is numbed.
