John was born July 14th, 1941 in Waterbury, CT and was the son of the late Mary (Milia) and John T Smith, Sr. John attended Sacred Heart High School and Western Connecticut State College where he received his Masters Degree. John is survived by his son, John T. and his wife Diane Smith of Naugatuck, CT, his daughter Lori and her husband John Smith, of Waterbury, CT, his brothers Atty. Robert W. Smith of Middlebury, CT, Thomas C. and his wife Teri Smith of Southbury, CT, and Atty. James R. and his wife Jean Smith of Middlebury, CT. John is also survived by his sister Barbara M. Smith and her partner Joanne H. Choly of Stratford, CT. Arrangements- There are no services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
