Obituary of Robert Belletti
Robert E. Belletti of Naugatuck, CT. passed away Friday, August 29,2008 at his horne. Born May 25, 1944 in Waterbury, CT. he was the son ofthe late Ruth (Cowan) and Edmund Belletti. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1962-64 with awarded decorations for rifle marksman and sharpshooter. He was a member of the Prospect, CT American Legion Post circa 1970. Bob was a mechanic for heavy duty equipment, and cross country driver of truck vehicles spanning the East Coast. He was in the family tree pruning business in the early 1960's. He also worked with companies on the construction of the Alaskan Pipeline. He was an avid racing stock car fan driving cars in Stafford Springs, CT and mechanic in pit crews of race cars. He enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, and restoration of muscle cars. He traveled to numerous Nascar races throughout his life.He enjoyed the Adirondack and Lake George region and vacationed there lifelong. He loved his Samoyed dogs and animals. He is survived by his long time friend, Geraldine Sileo, Aunt Joan Clark and family of Saratoga Springs, brothers Peter, Thomas, Frank, sister Ruth Mellon, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Private services will be held Monday, September 8th, 2:00 PM, at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, Naugatuck, CT.
