Obituary of Marjory Steinmetz

Steinmetz, 87, of 81 Mountain View Dr., Waterbury passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck, CT. She was predeceased by her husband William Steinmetz. Marjory was born January 28, 1921 in Waterbury. She was the daughter of the late Ernst J. and Mildred (Holden) Glastre. Marjory attended Hopeville Elementary School and Wilby High School in Waterbury. Marjory was a member of The South Congregational Church. In her spare time she was involved with the Mixers Club at the South Congregational Church, the South Congregational Seniors, and was an avid knitter. Marjory is survived by her three nieces, Cheryll (Holden) and her husband Peter Cooney of Niantic, CT, Marabeth and her husband Richard Berg of Roxbury, CT, and Kimberly and her husband John Ross of Oakville, CT, her Chosen Family Anna Shove and family of Waterbury, CT, Clarice Aleandri and family of Waterbury, CT, and Thomas Aleandri and family of Woodbury, CT. Arrangements- Funeral Services for Marjory will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11 A.M at the South Congregational Church, 160 Piedmont St. Waterbury, CT. Calling hours will be held the morning of the funeral at The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, from 9 A.M until the precession leaves for church for the service at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Rd., Waterbury.
