Obituary of Alene Ricciardi
Mrs. Alene L. Champ (Anderson) Ricciardi, 84 of 521-A North Spring St., Naugatuck, died Friday Sept. 19, 2008 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of John Cy Ricciardi who died in 1982, after more than 30 years of marriage.Mrs. Ricciardi was born in Waterbury, Nov. 7, 1923, a daughter of the late John and Olga (Herman) Anderson and had been a Middlebury resident for over 34 years, returning to Naugatuck 20 years ago. She was a retired employee of the Bristol-Babcock Co., retiring in 1976 after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and had been active on many committees of the church. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.She leaves two sisters, Dorothy Fritz of Oxford and Nancy DeMarcena of Wolcott and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clifford Anderson, John Anderson, and Robert Anderson and her sister, Audrey Meeker.Her funeral will be held on Thursday Sept. 25, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Middlebury Cemetery, Middlebury.
