Obituary of Raymond Lewis
Raymond G Lewis, 72, of Catering Rd., Wolcott, died Saturday September 20, 2008 at Wolcott View Manor, Wolcott CT.Ray was born in Waterbury August 05, 1936 a son of the late Frank E and Alice (Bougeois) Lewis. Ray attended schools in Waterbury and Wolcott, was an Eyelet Tool Maker for many years, retiring from ITW in 1992, after 40 years of service. He had served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict, as a Lineman, and had served as an Emergency Medical Technician. Ray loved to travel, fishing and boating were his favorite things to do. He enjoyed the ocean especially Rhode Island., and the lakes around Conn. He was a resident of Wolcott for 60 years. The love of his life was his Rescued Dog Rita. She made his life complete. He leaves his sister Shirley Keezer of Meriden; nephew Mark Keezer, and his Sons, Joshua and Jason, the late Michael Keezer and his daughter Hayley. He also has five God Children.A graveside service will be held on Friday Sept. 26th at 10 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury with military honors. There are no calling hours.
