Obituary of Dorothy Grimes

Dorothy M. Grimes, 82 of Alexandria, VA, formerly of Waterbury died Monday September 22, 2008 in Alexandria. Dorothy was born July 26, 1926 in Waterbury a daughter of the late John and Josephine Grimes. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammar School and Sacred Heart High School. She also was a graduate of St. Marys Hospital School of Nursing as well as the John Hopkins School of Anesthesia. She worked for many years at the former National Orthopedic Hospital in Virginia before retiring in 1990. She is survived by her sister Arlene Flanagan of Florida, 11 nieces and nephews, 16 grandnieces and nephews and one great-grandniece. She was predeceased by her beloved companion, Frank Borage.Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Saturday October 4, at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street to Our Lady of Loreto Church 12 Ardsley Road for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury.
