Obituary of Francis Boudo

Waterbury Francis P. Pete Boudo, 91, of Joycroft Rd. passed away Saturday October 4, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Yutzler) Boudo.Mr. Boudo was born April 9, 1917 in Waterbury the son of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Burns) Boudo. He was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was a talented musician, creative craftsman and avid reader. He proudly designed and built the home in which he and his wife raised their five children. As a musician he played both bass and piano. He was a WWII Army Signal Corp. Veteran obtaining the rank of First Lieutenant and was a member of V.F.W. Post 7330 in Oakville. Pete was a Supervisor for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 1977 after 32 years of service. He was a 20 year member of NARFE #350 where he held the position of secretary and also served as Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 20 in Waterbury.Besides his wife of 65 years, Mr. Boudo is survived by a son Peter Boudo and his wife Patricia of Tolland; three daughters Bonnie OConnell and her husband Pat of Amherst, NH, Susan Slabon and her husband Roland of Exeter, NH, and Cindy Glosser of Merrimack, NH; his grandchildren Peter Boudo Jr., Jennifer Boudo, Lauren Boudo Morrissey and her Husband William, Stephanie Slabon, Alena Slabon Davis and her husband Mattew, Michael Slabon, Maura OConnell, and Katie Glosser and his great granddaughter Sydney Morrissey. He was predeceased by his son Stephen. Arrangements Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 7, 2008 9:15 from the Alderson funeral Home, 9 Holmes Ave. to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of Connecticut 2666 State Street, Suite 1, Hamden, CT 06517-2232.
