Obituary of Rosamond Havens
Cheshire; Rosamond C. Havens, 92 formerly of Belridge Rd. died Thursday October 9, 2008 at the Curtis Home in Meriden. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Havens. Rosamond was born in Waterbury on August 14,1916 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Estella Scozzafava Tavano. She was the retired owner of the former Union Plate Glass Co. She was a graduate of Wilby High School in Waterbury. After moving to Cheshire in 1961 she was a communicant at St.Bridget Church and also was a long time member of the B.P.O.E. Waterbury lodge #265. She is survived by one son Ralph Havens of Moodus, Ct , two daughters, Estelle and her husband Frank Piekarski of Cheshire and Rosemarie and her husband Angelo Palmieri of Southington. She is also survived by her beloved nieces Linda, Marion and Pat and other nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Rosamond is survived by 4 grandchildren, Rita, Tina, Jeff and Ryan also 4 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by 2 sons Joseph J. and Thomas Havens, 3 brothers John, Joseph and Thomas Tavano and 1 sister Marion Tavano. A special thanks to the Curtis Home for all of the special care that was given to our mother for the past 6 years. Arrangements; Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St Bridget Church on Monday morning Oct.13. at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
