I just stumbled across Fr. Frisbie's obituary on the archdiocesan website. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He officiated at my parents' wedding on September 11, 1954 and was one of my mom's teachers at Mt. St. Joseph Academy. She always spoke of him fondly and, in fact, had her wedding day picture of her, my dad and Fr. Frisbie on the mantel for many years. My mom passed away in August '07 and my dad in 1993, so they were happy to welcome to his heavenly home. God bless!

Our deepest sympathy at this time of loss. Our family was a member of St. Thomas Becket from its beginning and I remember services at the CHS auditorium during either the build or an update. I attended St Thomas Becket until I moved out of CT. Fr. Frisbie was such a kind and wonderful man and such a huge part of our family and lives. We always remember him with the fondest of memories. Peace and love to you all. Mary, Bill and Max Gallicano

Our deepest sympathy to the Frisbie Family. Father Frisbie will be truly missed by us. He had a wonderfully warm, gentle, and generous spirit. He was a devoted priest who was never too busy for us. We were all graced by his presence and as a result are better for knowing him. We will never forget him. Sincerely, The Scalzo Family

To the family of Father Frisbi and all who where touched by his life.....I have only wonderful memories of a man who was a priest for all people. I was in his religion class when he taught at THE MOUNT. Endless questions from confused teenagers were handled with the utmost respect. When I left home to become a sister he kept in touch through my years of training and my years as a catholic school teacher and administrater. He always had encouraging words and appreciated what others were trying to accomplish. I only saw Father once after leaving Connecticut and that was when the class of 1955 celebrated its 50th anniversary and he was the celebrant at the Liturgy with his "old" pupils. I received a beautiful Christmas card from him this year and for some reason I answered it a few days after the holidays. I'm sure he did not know that I still have the lovely medal he had engraved for me years ago for my Final Profession of Vows. With all of my fond memories of a kind and thouhtful priest I will close with the ending words of an Irish Blessing..."And until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Much love, Sister Mary Lou

My deepest sympathies go out to the Frisbie family. I was saddened to learn of Fr. Frisbie's passing today. Fr. Frisbie said mass on weekends at my parish, St. James Church in Rocky Hill. My husband, Tim & I attended our engaged couples weekend at St. Thomas Seminary & saw Fr. Frisbie at lunch. We introduced ourselves and after a few minutes he excused himself asking that we remain there & wait for him to return. After a few minutes he came back with a wooden cut out of my first name. To this day, I have no idea how or where he could've gotten something like that so quickly. Today, I have it in my kitchen. A few weeks later we spoke to him after mass & he had a a carving of Tim's full name...Timothy C Ludlam. It was such a nice gesture and for him to remember Tim's full name, including middle initial, goes to show just how much attention he paid when he had a conversation with you. He was a kind & gentle man & just by watching him on the alter & listening to him speak, you knew he was a man of great character. I haven't seen Fr. Frisbie for several years now but his gifts to Tim & me are in our kitchen and serve as a daily reminder of him and his giving and loving spirit. Kathleen Brett

Father Frisbie was one of the first people we met when we moved to Cheshire. We were just married and he came and blessed our home and wished us love and happiness. He welcomed us to St. Thomas Becket and baptized all of our children. All of our children made their First Communion with Fr. Frisbie. He knew everyone's name and by everyone, I mean everyone in the Parish. He had a great sense of humor. Most of all, he was a devoted Catholic and a devoted Priest. Thank you, Father Frisbie. With love, Susan & Tim Germain and Family.
