Obituary of Robert Sibold

Cheshire " Robert O. Sibold, 92, of Manor Dr. passed away Thursday March 19, 2009 at Highlands Health Care Center in Cheshire. He was the husband of Ethel (Hampson) Sibold. Mr. Sibold was born December 23, 1916 in Waterbury the son of the late Otto and Sophie (Lowe) Sibold. He was a 1934 graduate of Crosby High School and obtained his Bachelors in Economics from Brown University where he was a fraternal bother of Phi Kappa Psi. He furthered his studies by attending Southern Connecticut State University. He later taught several business courses at Middlesex Community College. Mr. Silbold held management positions at both AMF in Essex and The Bristol Company in Waterbury. He was a sales representative for both Cranston Print Works in Rhode Island and Northern Adhesives. He was also a member of Mill Plain Union Church in Waterbury. His hobbies included Stamp and Coin Collection and watching both Red Sox and Cardinals baseball. Besides his wife of 64 years, Mr. Sibold is survived by his son Robert H. Sibold and his wife Danielle of Cheshire; his sister Olive Crepon of Waterbury; his nieces Andrea Armbruster, Judith Howland, Sandra Goodwin; his nephews Dr. Norman Crepon, Russell Hoyt and several great-nieces and nephews. Arrangements " A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Rd. in Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in New Pine Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
