Dear Vinny and Family: I received Kathleen's message and just knew that Barbara was no longer with us. I checked the Cheshire Herald and found her obit. notice. I am so profoundly saddened that she has passed. We were friends since high school. We visited each time I came "home" to Cheshire. I taught "little Vinny" to pound on his high chair tray for food, much to Barbara's dismay! I watched the kids grow up. Where did the time go? I pray that she is at peace. She has been in my prayers for a long time. I loved my girlfriend Barb., we could always pick up right where we left off. Vinny, you have been a dear and loving friend since I was about 16 years old. We have laughed together more times than we can count. Now we must cry together for your loss and your children's loss. No matter how hard we try to make sense of her loss as such a young age, it is always God's plan that we must learn to live with. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Dear Vinny and family, I was saddened to read in my Clinton town newspaper of Barbara's passing-- I'm so sorry for your loss of someone so special. I have called my Dad tonight and he also sends his sympathy. I arrived in Cheshire to visit my ailing Dad when I heard that Barbara had passed away. There is a saying that "God gives us memories so that we may have roses in December". I have so many memories of the great times I had with Barbara. Only she and I will remember the song"Put your head on my shoulders" and what it meant to us silly girls at that time.
