Holly & Gary, your father was so happy to have been able to spend time in your loving care in the past year or so of changes. You both gave so much of yourselves to make sure he was content, entertained, well fed and pretty much spoiled! Harry was an awesome guy! He welcomed me into the "family" over 12 years ago because Holly and I were friends. Just as my family has welcomed Holly and Gary into ours! It's what dads do! That is an honor I greatly value. I consider him a friend and fellow "foodie" who loved Hummel hot dogs cooked on the grill, cold Yuengling beer that I happily drove up to him every chance I got and good movies! I am not sure he knew how to react when I gave a big hug and a kiss the first time, but he's a dad and that's what dad's get! Harry was generous to a fault and made sure that no one went without something they needed if he had anything to do with it. He is the only person I ever met that drank Manhattans (still don't get it) while slurping down icy cold clams on the half shell. I have had the priviledge of spending several birthdays with Harry. I remember a delicious meal of just those things plus a tender filet mignon shared with Harry and Holly a few years ago. He always enjoyed a great meal and good conversation. We had a leisurely afternoon meal in a great steak house, just relaxing, having Manhattans( wine for us ladies as I recall), and passing time. Most special to me was being included in his 80th celebration last year. It was touching to see those close to him and those caring for him at the time take a break in their busy lives to spend the afternoon with Harry! Another special memory I have of Harry I hold close was when Holly asked me to come up to pet sit for their menagerie so they could celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. My duties included: feed the dogs, feed the cats, visit with Harry.I think I surprised him because I made to sure to see at least once a day and bring some special surprises and we even handled an air conditioning crisis together with a laugh. He loved coffee and corn muffins, he loved reminiscing about his family and friends, and he was loved by all who knew him. Holly, your parents raised to you to a be warm, loving, giving woman who values her family above all else. They both smile down at you and Gary now, as they dance to their favorite song in heaven, knowing they have brought an amazing human being into this world. I wish I could be there, but know I am lifting you all up in prayer in this season of change. Love Deena
