Obituary of Joseph Pepitone

BEACON FALLS- Mr. Joseph Anthony Pepitone, 79, of 160 Cedar Lane, Beacon Falls, died Saturday May 16, 2009 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the husband of the late Kathryn C. (Wickers) Pepitone who died in 2003 after almost 50 years of marriage. Mr. Pepitone was born in Upland, CA, Sept. 9, 1929, a son of the late Thomas and Marie (Reilly) Pepitone and had been a resident of Beacon Falls since 2000, moving here from Heritage Village in Southbury. He previously was a resident of New Jersey. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, and was a retired Letter Carrier, employed by the postal service in New Brunswick, NJ, for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, Beacon Falls. He leaves one son, Joseph R. Pepitone and his wife Dawn of Beacon Falls, with whom he made his home, and 2 grandchildren, Ryane and Kyle Pepitone. His funeral will be held on Wednesday May 20th at 9:15am from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Michael's Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ at 1:30pm. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 8:45 am until the procession leaves for Church.
