My condolences to Esther and her family. I first met Bob & Esther in Sept 1988 at the New Hampshire Highland Games. It was my first time there and on Sat evening I stopped at a tavern/restaurant that I heard was popular with the Games crowd. I was at the end of a very crowded bar, when a man came up trying to squeeze in to get some drinks. It was Howard Browne - Bob & Esther's good friend and fellow Games attendee. We started chatting - Howard asked if I was waiting to eat, I was, and he left with his drinks. He came back a minute or so later and invited me to join himself, Bob & Esther for dinner. The evening was terrific and started a long and great friendship with Bob & Esther. I always looked forward to seeing them a couple times a year at some of the Highland Games, usually New Hampshire and Capital District NY. The one constant in all of our get-togethers was good fellowship and laughter, and plenty of both. I knew Bob had been failing over the past few years, but news of his passing still came as a shock. He was a very fine man - honest, loyal, truthful and of good humour. I am a much better person for having known him, and the world is a better place for his being here - today, heaven is a better place with him there. May God richly reward you for your good life's work. Sleep well my dear friend - I shall miss you. Peter Dunlop East Aurora, NY
