I met Sherman in 1974. He arraigned a financing commitment for my first development project, later when the roof fell in (literally) and the project went bust, I went to work for Sherman. When someone first met Sherman, they met a tough and maybe obnoxious business man. The longer I knew him I realized that was all an act to hide Sherman's great compassion for people. He really wanted to help anyone less fortunate and would sometimes do so anonymously. I lost touch with Sherman over thirty years ago but I never lost touch with the lessons I learned from him. He was a great man who had few equals and had no greater love than his family. My sincere condolences, Alex Koskey, Miramar Beach, Florida.
