Obituary of Bernard Stasiak
Bernard J. Stasiak, 73, of Cheshire passed away June 24, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the widower of Eleanor Lillian (Jablonski) Stasiak whom he was married to for 39 years.
Bernard was born June 16, 1936 in Meriden, CT and was son of the late Julian and Winifred Stasiak. He graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1955, going on to serve in the U.S Army where he attended Southeastern School of Electronics in Augusta, Georgia. He spent his life in the retail grocery business from Sales Director at Bozzuto's Inc. to a Business Owner in Vista, New York.
Bernard was an accomplished wood carver, and a member of Ducks Unlimited.
Bernard was survived by a daughter Darlene and her husband Leonardo Valestra of Cheshire, four brothers, Richard and his wife Merrian Stasiak of Tucson, AZ, Dodge and his wife Beverly Stasiak of Meriden, Joseph Stasiak and his fiancée Lillian Ferraro of Hamden, and Harry Mott of New Haven, a sister Catherine and her husband Clifford Seipold of East Haven, sister in law Regina Stasiak of Branford, four grandchildren Elaine Valestra, Giuseppe Valestra, Michael Valestra, and Leonardo Valestra. He was predeceased by a brother Paul Stasiak.
Arrangements- Funeral Services are private. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, Cheshire, is in charge of the arrangements.
