Ed was not only a professional person but a "real" human being. He was a great help to me at the University of Bridgeport. I always enjoyed Ed's sense of humor too! He will be missed!

" I grew up with Ed on Laurel St. in Waterbury. We played many stickball games in the street. We also served many Masses together as alterboys. I have not seen Ed in over 50 years. But I am not at all surprised that Ed turned out to be the man he was because that was the boy he was. My prayers are with his family. "

Thank you Ed for being a great neighbor & friend. For alleviating the burden of my dog's barking by telling us "we can't worry about everything, especially that" For showing kindness and compassion to an elder nieghbor, and being a great example of a loving father, husband and son in law. You will always be missed here. Enjoy heaven!

To the Dowling family I would only like to tell just how distraught Ed's leaving us has left me. He was truly a man of kindness & innate wisdom, and I feel fortunate to have known him for the short time that I did.
