Jeff, Don, Amy and Rick - I was so saddened to hear this news. My deepest sympathy to you all. Fred was such an important person in life. I now have a blessed and happy marriage thanks to his understanding and advice. I will miss talking with him. Rick and Amy, you might better remember me as Mrs. Visser, your teacher at Cheshire Academy. Please know that I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Nancy Weber

Dear Jeff and family, First let me tell you how sorry I am to learn of Fred's death, it hit me all too hard. My thoughts and prayers have been with you all through this time. The memory service was wonderful, the words from your friends, Don and Rick were priceless. I wanted to stand and express the wonderful memories I have with having the Clark's at our church, but the emotions and feelings were too over whelming to the point I couldn't stay for the social hour. I am terribly sorry for my weakness, but I wanted you to all know that you are all loved in the Needham family, my Mom and Dad send there thoughts and prayers as well. I have no doubt that Fred's memories will last forever in my heart as well as Grace Methodist Church. God Bless you All! Tim Needham

Fred has always been an example of the best in humanity and I have especially appreciated his voice and action for justice. When we knew he had this disease, I knew that we would learn from his/your way of living this journey and we have. Jeff, your partnership together has been a powerful example of compassionate and just living. Thank you, Carolyn

Mrs. Clark, Amy, Don, & Rick, I know it has been many years since Hatton Elementary but I have been fortunate enough to remain in contact with Heidi Bass over the years and have kept up somewhat on your family news through her. I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Clark's illness and passing and just wanted you to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I have so many fond memories of your family, youth group dances at Grace Methodist in Southington and sleepover parties at your home and I hope you know that your loss will be felt by so many who have known your family over the years. Sincerely, Laura Kostrzewa Rogalski

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. It has been many years since the Bloomfield UMC but they were very special years in my church life with some very special people. Fred was a terrific minister to all of our diverse congregation and at times, our chaotic but fun lives. We lost our daughter-in-law June 27th and we will be celebrating her life in a couple of weeks in Torrington (Ray Wenzel, Jr. works weekends as a cameraman for racing events). You are in our thoughts and prayers, Barbara & Harry Jackson, Ray, Bill, & David Wenzel

Words fail us as we attempt to send a note of comfort to you all. Fred always seemed to know what to say to ease a heavy heart or lift a glum spirit. We understand how deep your loss is and want you all to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May it help to know how much we consider his life and healing ministry a gift to us all. God be with you in the days ahead to guide and comfort you. In His Love, Ginny and Bill Heath

I am saddened to hear of Fred's passing. Many fond memories of his years at Grace UMC have arisen; and also of the counseling help he provided to so many. I feel fortunate to have had his life touch mine for a few years. Sorry I can't attend the service in CT but if it is possible for friends to be at the service on Peaks island, I would really like to be there. God bless you, Jeff, and all your family. You are in the thoughts and prayers of many. Mary Ellen (Griffith) Bossom. Scarborough, Maine
