Obituary of Helen Brvenik

Helen Louise Brvenik, 85, passed away Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Windham Memorial Community Hospital in Willimantic, CT. She was predeceased by her husband Oscar J. Brvenik. Helen was born November 24, 1923 in McKeesport, PA and was the daughter of the late Herbert S. Sr., and Clara M. Pollard. She attended the University of Pittsburgh, following college she was employed at The Kirkpatrick and Lockhart law firm as a Legal Secretary until to her retirement. Helen was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Mount Lebanon, PA. One of the things Helen loved most was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Helen is survived by a son Richard and his wife Mary Brvenik of Storrs, CT, a daughter Carol Ann and her husband Gregory Anderson of Boulder, CO, six grandchildren Matthew, John, Kathleen, Scott, Christine, and Matthew. She was predeceased by a brother Herbert S. Pollard Jr. Arrangements- A Private Memorial Mass for Helen will be held, Friday September 11, 2009 at St. Bridget's Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Cheshire. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, is in charge of the arrangements.
