Dear Morris Family, Irv was a wonderful man. We worked with him back in late 90's-2000. We fixed his computers and systems. We would talk about life and business, and flying. He told us about he flew in the war and he told me how he took one of his sons flying and he told us about stalling out. He told us if we wanted to fly he would take us. Too bad we never took him up on it. It was great to know him. He will be missed. Our condolences are with you. Shari and Moshe IFrach

I was sorry to hear the news. As the long-time public accountant for Irv and the Everybody's Market chain of stores, I knew Irv both professionally and personally for many years. I always looked forward to my trips to see him, usually either in Cheshire or New Haven, because I considered him to be my brightest client; and I always enjoyed our talks. I was also sorry to read that Ben (Buddy) had predeceased him, which I did not know.

From the time I spent with Mr.Morris I can say that he was a great person! He was a great friend to my mother, Fior Fernandez. He loved his wonderful dogs who had great personality, just like him. I enjoyed talking to him about sports and my career. Mr. Morris you will be missed in our family and your family shall be in our prayers! Love Fermin Family!

Sam & Nina- I would like to express my smpathies for your dad, Irv on his passing. He was truly a unique individual that made the most of his life here on earth. At a time when there is much sorrow in the passing of a loved one, we try to find peace and solitude in the belief that his legacy shall be enduring. Sam, you are an exceptional individual that cared for your dad above and beyond those of most children and find peace in the fact that he was a good man and you have found his strength to carry on in his wishes. Again, I would like to extend my sincere condolences to you and your entire family in this time of sorrow. Gary Lamoureux, CNA-Hartford Heathcare

I met Irv about nine years ago and although I did not know him very well, I already miss him and our conversations. Before time took it's toll on Irv's health, I regularly saw him walking his dog before sunrise. Thinking back, I'm sure he found peace and tranquility during those early morning hours. It seemed as if he and I were the only people crazy enough to be up and about! When I first became his neighbor, I simply waived as I passed him on my way to work, opting to respect his privacy. Within a short time, though, I began to stop and engage in small talk. In no time, our encounters turned into lengthy discussions about business, finance, real estate and life in general. Irv was full of wisdom. Oftentimes, I'd choose to be late for a meeting in order to spend more time listening to his perspective on life and its challenges. I find it true that we don't always realize just how special such moments with people in our lives are until they are gone. I will fondly remember my talks with Irv and will miss the wisdom that he shared with me. Rich Riccitelli Cheshire, CT

Dear Sam, There's no denying that losing a parent is a difficult part of this life. I hope that the kind words of friends, family and acquaintances offer you some comfort now and, in time, put a smile on your face. Your Dad was respected and looked up to by many. I'll remember him as a compassionate, honorable man. Many people talk of doing noble deeds like adopting a rescue dog in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Irv Morris actually did it.

I was so sorry to hear that Mr. Morris had passed away. He was a wonderful man and I will miss hearing that deep voice and his laugh. No one loved his pets more than he did and I loved to hear him talk about their latest antics and adventures. He found and adopted a wonderful dog when I first started working as the Cheshire Animal Control Officer and we were friends immediately! Whenever I had a difficult dog to catch, I would come down to the store and request a bone to wire to the back of the trap and was never turned away. I will miss him.
