I send the deepest of condolences to your family. In a a few short years, I was fortunate to know her as a gifted teacher and mentor, a life loving spirit, a lover of the arts - a friend. But most important to her was the enormous love and pride of her family that she shared in most conversations. I loved to hear all of her stories, too - from growing up with a strict German dad to her most recent reconnection with an old friend from her past. In her many activities here and throughout the world she made an indelible impression on everyone she met. Her spirit and memory will live on through all she touched. I wish her peace.

Deb, Mark and Kim, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We share so many happy childhood memories from growing up together on Holly Rd. and your Mom played is central in those,as a second Mom to me, especially. I can remember her barefoot in the garden with a smile and a big brimmed hat and painting wonderful murals throughout the house and sewing, sewing, sewing! Although it must have been shocking to lose her so suddenly, you are all blessed that she did not suffer. On behalf of all of the Crimmins', we send you our condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Joan was an amazing support to me in my first five years of teaching. Truly, I think of her often. A friend, mentor, and confidant to many at Cheshire Academy, she eased both students and faculty the through the transitions of boarding school life. I remember several warm conversations with Joan and some terrific gatherings at her home. I am praying for peace for your family. I know Joan will be sorely missed.
