Obituary of Bruce Marcus

WATERBURY- Mr. Bruce Leonard Marcus, 54, of 825 Cooke St., Waterbury, died unexpectedly at his home early Thursday morning Nov. 5, 2009. Mr. Marcus was born in Waterbury, Dec. 3, 1954, a son of the late Arthur and Arline (Babich) Marcus and was educated in the local school system and graduated of Wilby High School and Central Conn. State University. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Air Force He was a Life Member of the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance Association, was an employee of TOPS Temporary Employment of New Haven. He leaves two sisters, Ethel Marcus of Waterbury, and Susan Peterson of Plantsville and several Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. A graveside service will be held on Friday Nov. 6th at 10 a.m. at Beth Israel-Kol Ami Cemetery, Lake Ave., Bristol. Shiva will be held on Saturday evening Nov. 7th through Friday afternoon Nov. 13th at the home of his sister, Susan Peterson, 210 Manor Rd., Plantsville,06479, with services at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kol Ami Synogogue, P.O. Box 1318, Cheshire, 06410-1318 or to the Wolcott Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 6066. Wolcott, 06716-6066.
