Everytime I close my eyes,I see that sparkle in your eye,your graceful smile,your giving hands.I was truly privleged to have you as my grandmother and I will never forget all the special memories we shared.Cradling me as a baby,tucking me in at night;reading to me in bed in the early mornings,holding a buttercup flower under my chin to see if it glowed yellow;singing the ladybird song everytime we saw a ladybug;holding my hand as we traveled through the park counting the little steps on the way to Auntie Barbara's;picking fruit off the tree in the garden at the cottage;walks through the lane each day to find the freshest veggies;sharing Polo mints during drives through Wales;smelling the lavender in the garden while we talked to the bumblebees;teaching me how to make a perfect gin and tonic;watching Ready Steady Cook together in the afternoons.Those same hands that hugged me on my Wedding Day;clapped as my daughter danced for you;drawing pictures of your house on Church Road with my son.I am so blessed to have had you in my life.I am so thankful that my mother was able to take care of you in your later years,so we could continue to have those wonderful times together.I will cherish all of our memories close within my heart, until the day I can hold your hand again.
