Obituary of Gustave Larson
Mr. Gustave W. Larson, 87 of Waterbury passed away Saturday December 5, 2009 at his home. He was the husband of Charlotte (Bell) Larson.
Mr. Larson was born November 9, 1922 in Waterbury a son of the late Gustaff W. and Esther (Stigberg) Larson and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. He was a graduate of Bunker Hill Grammar School, Crosby High School and the University of Connecticut. He was the General Manager of Cly-Del Manufacturing Company in Waterbury retiring in 1992 after many years of service. Mr. Larson was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII where he was the Captain of the USS APC 18. He was a longtime member of the Watertown Golf Club and loved spending time with his family.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, Chayne Lasky and her husband Charles of Middlebury, Robert W. Larson of Torrington, Collynn E. Temple of Springfield, MA, Tammie Wilkinson and her husband John of Branford and Richard W. Larson of Waterbury, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Private funeral services for Mr. Larson will be celebrated at Saint George's Episcopal Church Tucker Hill Road in Middlebury. Burial with military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery in Waterbury.
