Obituary of Marjorie Reeve
Marjorie W. Reeve - Age 89, died in peace with grace at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Beverly Reeve, in Pittsford, New York, on November 29, 2009 of lung cancer. Born Marjorie Mae Wilkinson on February 15, 1920, in Plainview, Texas, she graduated with a BS degree from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas with a major in piano and public school music. On June 14, 1939 she married Charles T. Reeve of Friona Texas. Marge arrived in Naugatuck in 1945 where her husband was employed by the US Rubber Company (Uniroyal). She had two sons Charles Allan and Paul Thomas. Marge taught piano privately at home for many years to Naugatuck children. Long active in the Naugatuck Congregational Church, Marge sang in the choir for over sixty years, was a deacon and served on many committees. In addition, Marge was a member of the Women's Study Club of Naugatuck for over fifty years and was a contributor to their musicales and special events. She also was a volunteer at the gift shop of the Waterbury Hospital for many years, and enjoyed her membership in numerous bridge clubs. Predeceased by Charles in 1992 and her son Paul in 2007, Marge is survived by her son Allan, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Association For Frontotemporal Dementias, 1616 Walnut Street, Suite 1100, Philadelphia, PA 19103 in memory of Paul Reeve. A memorial service will be held at the Naugatuck Congregational Church on Saturday December 12, 2009 at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in Friona, Texas.
