I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Newt Thomas. I worked with Newton at the First New Haven National Bank, and during that time we became good friends. I left the employ of the First New Haven National Bank in 1963 to enter The Salvation Army School for Officers Training. I did meet Newt a number of years later and it was good to renew our friendship. I just want to express my sincere condolences (though belated) to his wife and children. I shared many happy moments of laughter with Newt at work. He came to my Farewell Service prior to my leaving for the School for Officers Training in the Bronx, New York. I will always remember what a kind person he was, and how much he helped me during my brief time employment at the First New Haven National Bank. with every good wish, Brian J.
