Obituary of Winifred Young

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Winifred (Dorr) Young, 85, of Naugatuck, passed away early Sunday morning March 18, 2012, at her home. She was the wife of Clifton O. Young. Mrs. Young was born in Orland, ME, Sept. 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Alton and Stella (Knight) Dorr and had been a Naugatuck resident for many years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck and had volunteered in many different capacities at the church over the years. Besides her husband of 63 years, she leaves one daughter, Katheryn Elizabeth Wooster and her husband Harold of Somers; 3 grandchildren, Amy, Rebecca, and Dawn and 3 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ridge and Landon. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck, 214 Meadow St. Burial will be in Maine at the convenience of the family.
