Obituary of Estelle Ganezer
PROSPECT- Mrs. Estelle (Feiner) Ganezer, 89, of 6 Yale Farms Rd, Prospect, died Sunday Mar. 21, 2010 at her home. She was the widow of Morris Ganezer who died in 1987.
Mrs. Ganezer was born in New York City, April 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Max and Rae (Gross) Feiner and was educated in the New York school system and was a graduate of Brooklyn City College. She had been a Prospect resident for the past 5 years, moving here from Waterbury where she had lived since 1958. She was a member of Beth El Synagogue and was also a member of Congregation Kol Ami in Cheshire. She had been active with the Sisterhood of Beth El and with Hadassah, having served as Secretary and Treasurer of both organizations.
She leaves two sons, Samuel Ganezer and his wife Alma of Prospect, with whom she made her home, and Lawrence Ganezer and his wife Helene of Southington; one brother Albert Feiner and is wife Yolanda of Clackamas, OR.; and two granddaughters, Michaela and Marissa Ganezer, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30am at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main St. (RT 10). Burial will be in Hebrew Benefit Cemetery Stillson Rd., Waterbury. Shiva will be observed at the Ganezer residence, 6 Yale Farms Rd., Prospect on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning at 4pm with a service each evening at 7 pm.
