Obituary of Margaret Graikoski

CHESHIRE - Margaret M. Graikoski, 79, passed away Sunday April 4, 2010 at Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late John T. Graikoski. Mrs. Graikoski was born April 24, 1930 in Boyne City, MI the daughter of the late Philmore and Edith (Nelson) Green. Ann Arbor, MI was her home for many years, before settling in Orange, Connecticut. She was a Registered Nurse, working at the Hospital of St. Raphael for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1995. She eventually moved to Cheshire. During her retirement, she was very active playing cards, line dancing and traveling with her many special friends. The true loves of her life were her grandchildren. She enjoyed sharing in their many activities and she was thankful for the special times she spent with her family. Mrs. Graikoski is survived by her four children Michael and his wife Sandi of Cheshire, her daughter Edye Ferris and her husband Jim of Tolland, George and his wife Lisa of Southington, and John and his wife Mary of Simsbury; her ten grandchildren James, Jack, Michael, David, Anne, Nicholas, William, Joshua, Thomas, and Julia; her sister Beverley Davis of Ann Arbor, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Graikoski is predeceased by her brothers Raymond and Philmore Green as well as her sister Reanette Green. Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 8, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Orange Center Cemetery in Orange. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
