Dear Mary Ellen and Dick As I think of you and your family it is always in the spring on a baseball field. My own children playing and often with your children either on their team or on an opposite one. Those will forever be times remembered with joy which I am sure you have with Gregory. I never knew Gregory, but knowing your family I am sure he was very special young man. My sincere sympathy to you all. Jo-Ann Vitarelli

Dear Schena family, I am so sorry for your loss. Although I did not know Gregory personally I read his obituary and wanted to send my condolences. It sounds like he was a truly special person that touched many lives at a very young age. Two years ago I lost a young cousin of mine in an accident also involving a motor vehicle so I know the pain you must be feeling. At first it may seem impossible to cope, but what has helped me in times past are the Bible's promises for the future. For instance, the promise we have in the twenty-fourth chapter of the book of Acts reveals that there will , “be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. (Verse 15) I love that scripture because it gives us hope that we can see all of our loved ones that we have lost in death once more, and it doesn't matter what they have done in the past. At first it may seem too good to be true, but most of God's word is focused on telling us how this and many other prophecies in the Bible will come true. Such promises always help me to see that God does care about each of us and since He, like a loving parent, hates to see us suffer He soon plans on getting rid of tragedies that we now have to face. There are so many more promises in the Bible that can encourage us both now and in the future, but I hope this brief scripture helped you as much as it has me and my family. With sincere sympathy, Candace

Our hearts go out to your family. Having coached Greg for a number of years I saw his positive attitude and caring spirit. He made those around him better people. In a time when players ask what is in it for them Greg was always concerned with team. I'm sure these are the qualities that made him a wonderful coach. He is the result of a loving family who always provided support and encouragement to all of us.

Our sincere sympathy to your whole family. This brings back a lot of memories. I seems yesterday that I was sitting in the bleachers at Cheshire High with you, watching my son, Dave, and your son Matt run track, and your little guy had his little two-wheeler bicycle. We are so sorry for your loss. I wish I was there for the services. I am in Bend, Oregon, with my daughter Amy, for the Christenings of my two grandsons, Gabriel (1) and Calvin (4). Please accept our sincere condolences. Regards, Dick Hartman, David and Amy.
