Obituary of Christine Anastasion
CHESHIRE - Christine (Aliferis) Anastasion 84, of Ashlar Village formally of Orange passed away with her family at her bedside at the Mid-State Medical Center on Monday May 24, 2010. She was the wife of the late William D. Anastasion.
Christine was born on February 26, 1926 and was the daughter of the late James and Georgia (Maniatis) Aliferis. She was a secretary for the Yale School of Organization and Management until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St.Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. and also very active in the annual Odyssey Festival. She was a member of the Philoptochos Society. Christine enjoyed traveling, gardening and knitting. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Claudia Briggs and her husband Greg of Cheshire; Deanna Cardozo and her husband Richard of Belle Mead, NJ.; Barbara Pandajis and her husband Greg of Cheshire;. her brother Christos Aliferis and his wife Stella of Manchester NJ. She also leaves her 8 loving grandchildren Kimberly McLamb, and Jennifer Stebbins, Kristen, Jeff and Caty Cardozo, Timothy, Bryan and Lindsay Pandajis and her great-granddaughter Addison McLamb.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 28, 2010 at St.Barbara Greek Orthodox Church 480 Race Brook Rd, Orange at 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park in Hamden.
