How blessed I am...from my time with Pat. I was so fortunate to be able to spend time with Pat taking her to treatments and what a blessing those times were of sharing. Every email I received from Pat, I saved because they were like a devotional, words from God, through Pat and blessing us all. Many a tear I shed but it was because God was so good and so deep, so wise...Thank you Pat for sharing all God was teaching you. I am bringing just a few of your words to the retreat to share with the rest of the women as we celebrate your new place in heaven with your savior. Words such as "So it seems that our sweet Jesus has taken me from the scriptures that speak of HIS MIGHTY HAND to His tender ever present mercy and compassionate grace. I just sense HIM bringing a calm, that is without any ripples, totally transparent, and powerfully encompassing to my heart. And I just am letting HIM hold me and sing to me (Zeph. 3:17) and be everything I need right now. What a blessed, holy place." I truly count it a blessing to have had the chance to meet your amazing mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. There was certainly no doubt that she loved the Lord with everything that she had and loved sharing her walk with others. Her legacy will forever be remembered. Lauri Ann and family, what a bitter/sweet time in your life. Embrace the thoughts and memories of your mom, grandma, mom in law.... from the stories I've heard, Pat's heritage lives on in her daughter and granchildren, whew, what more could any mom want. While tuned to Christian Family station this morning a choir was singing "When We All Get To Heaven What A Day Of Rejoicing That Will Be, When WE All See Jesus We'll Sing And Shout The Victory". I did not see Pat in the last couple of years but have wonderful memories of her in my life during our time at Christ Community Church. She was a mother figure in my life, nurturing and supportive. She made the curtains in my living room, invited me into her home and her life, took me out when I broke my elbows in 2009 and could not drive and brightened my world with her sense of humor. Sorry I did not know about her illness and was unable to see her in the last year. She'll be dearly missed. I look forward to reading the book. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dearest Pat, I remember the day we met at Door of Hope. It wasn't long before we were invited to your home to share our stories with one another. A few hours turned into an entire evening and at the end we couldn't believe how quickly the time had passed. Soon after that evening we spent hours together talking about community and how your gifts could be used to help the body of Christ connect so that no one would ever have to stand alone. I remember our times sitting in your car by the pond sharing together and sharpening each other in the things of God. I was always amazed at your gift of hospitality and was warmed and nurished by the delicious meals around your table. Your ability to find humor in things as well as laugh at yourself was a gift to us all. I especially loved the times we spent as sisters spray painting the heating vents together in my daughters backyard or the time you opened your home to us for rest when you were out of time. You were always thinking of others and how you could share your resources. You had such a mercy heart. The times we spent sharing communion together and remembering an old song that we both loved was precious. The Lord gave us a car trip together to PA where we enjoyed sharing our lives deeply and seeing Triumphant Entry together at the theatre in Amish Country. We so enjoyed watching and listening to Behold The Lamb together at the Sight and Sound Theatre. As I looked into your face in the last few months and on the last Saturday of your life I witnessed how you had turned your eyes heavenward and saw heaven awaiting you. Now this Easter you are beholding the Lamb are waiting on the other shore for us to join you. Love, Debbie
